Accepted to 106 Colleges, $4.5M in Scholarships: Kassidy Parnell Is GOALS!
Hard work pays and Louisiana’s Kassidy Parnell, a high school student is proof! The high achiever
with a 4.1 GPA, graduating at the top of her class at Tara High School, set the pace by bagging an impressive 106 colleges admission alongside being awarded a total of $4.5 million in scholarships.
Among the list of colleges Kassidy received acceptance letters from are Southern University, Saint Louis University, Butler University, Oklahoma State University, Marquette University, Seton Hall University, Loyola University Chicago, University of Kansas, and Kent State University, according to Black News.
Not one to slow down, while in high school, she was also enrolled at Baton Rouge Community College where she took computer science classes
Kassidy also earned 4 full-ride scholarship offers and 13 Presidential Scholarships aside from dozens of academic and merit scholarships, with each school offering varying amounts which go up to $150,000.
Proud father Lorenzo Bynum, says he isn’t the least bit shocked at Kassidy’s success. Full of praise he had this to say:
“This girl is a hard worker, loyal friend, organized, witty and makes good decisions,” her father told WKBN. “She loves to learn new things. If she doesn’t know something she will look it up and remember everything about it. She is not afraid to explore new horizons and takes pride in her school and the work she does for IBM. She really makes our job easy as parents.”
Kassidy at the moment is still undecided on the college to choose over a hundred choices, but she’s got the support of her family who together with her tour the colleges to narrow down her choices.
