Angela Kyerematen-Jimoh’s journey from the banking halls of London to the forefront of Africa’s tech revolution is a testament to her visionary leadership. Educated at Wesley Girls’ High School and Achimota School in Ghana, she furthered her studies at London Guildhall College and Harvard Business School, laying a strong foundation for her future endeavors.
Transitioning from finance to technology, Angela joined IBM in 2011 as the Territory Marketing Manager for West Africa. Her strategic acumen led her to roles such as Strategy Leader for Central, East, and West Africa, and eventually, she became IBM Ghana’s first female Country General Manager in 2015. Her ascent continued as she was appointed Regional Head for IBM North, East, and West Africa, overseeing operations in 35 countries—a historic achievement as the first African woman in this role.
In 2022, Angela joined Microsoft as the Strategic Partnership Lead for Africa, focusing on digital infrastructure, skills development, and support for SMEs and startups. Her passion for digital transformation culminated in the founding of Brainwave Africa Tech in January 2025, a company dedicated to driving technological innovation across the continent.
Beyond her corporate achievements, Angela is deeply committed to philanthropy and mentorship. She has adopted Siti Village in Ghana, providing clean water and solar lighting, with plans to establish a school. Her AI Explorers Club introduces children aged 8 to 15 to artificial intelligence, nurturing the next generation of tech enthusiasts.
