The Wife of the President of Nigeria, Aisha Buhari has tasked Nigerians in the Diaspora to join in the effort to provide sustainable empowerment for women.
Aisha Buhari stated this while declaring open, an exhibition put together by the Empowerment Support Initiative, ESI, which is a non-governmental organization championed by the Wife of the Minister of Transportation, Judith Amaechi as part of activities marking the sixtieth session of the Commission on the Status of Women held at the UN headquarters in New York.
The Wife of the Nigerian President, Aisha Buhari said “It is time for Nigeria to complement the effort of individuals including Dame Judith Amaechi to put in place, a framework for alleviating poverty among women”.
Founder of ESI, Dame Amaechi, while addressing delegates, stated that empowering women through education and vocational skills was the surest way of securing the future generation.
