Former first couple Barack Obama and wife Michelle Obama are on a mission to educate children about Civic lessons.
According to reports, their latest project, a new animation series for Netflix landing July 4 and titled ‘We the People’ will be educating children on United States civics lessons. The 10-episode series will feature three-minute music videos covering a wide range of topics to enlighten “a new generation of young Americans about the power of the people,” the streaming network wrote in a press release.
H.E.R., Janelle Monáe , Lin-Manuel Miranda, Adam Lambert, Bebe Rexha, Amanda Gorman among other artists are set to perform.
Created by Doc McStuffins writer Chris Nee, he also executive produces alongside Barack and Michelle with their Higher Ground Productions company, and Kenya Barris (Black-ish), Tonia Davis (The Greatest Showman), and Priya Swaminathan, People reports.
Producers include Ada Chiaghana, Erynn Sampson, and Peedee Shindell.
Peter Ramsey, Trisha Gum, Victoria Vincent, Benjy Brooke, Mabel Ye, Tim Rauch, Jorge Gutierrez, Daron Nefcy, Everett Downing, and Kendra Ryan will all serve as directors for the show.
