American R&B singer Marjani Walker has given birth to twins at home, with the help of her partner Larry and a team of “spirit guides, Godparents, and the best Dad doula ever Larry.”
In an Instagram post, Walker shared that she had a natural, 7-hour labor and delivery, with no tearing, and that one of the twins was breech.
She also mentioned that she almost passed out at the end of the birth but that eating her placenta helped her recover. This is the second child for Walker, who also has a daughter named Bubbles with her ex-boyfriend, producer London On Da Track.
In 2019, Walker was named as Apple Music’s Up Next artist and became the number 8 R&B artist worldwide on the platform.
Walker did not initially reveal that she was pregnant with twins, and shared the news of their birth on social media.
In her post, she praised herself for her accomplishment and encouraged other women to do the same, saying, “I’m so proud of myself. I’m so proud of myself. Just sharing to inspire other women.” She also mentioned that she had previously given birth at home and that this was her second home birth.
