Born out of rape and blatantly told she wouldn’t amount to anything, today the Helen Paul commands respect within and outside Nigeria. She is reportedly the first stand-up comedian to bagged a Ph.D, in Nigeria.
On-air personality, comedienne, actress and singer, Helen Paul made a name for herself through comedy while embracing her comic character Tatafo on the radio program ‘Wetin Dey’ on Radio Continental 102.3FM, Lagos which catapulted her to superstardom.
The beloved comedy sensation and presenter honed her skills in media doing both freelance and full-time work at several media houses. She served as a freelance and full-time presenter at media firms including: Lagos Television (LTV 8), Continental Broadcasting Service (CBS), Naija FM, Television Continental and MNet (where she currently co-presents hit show JARA on Africa Magic).
As an actress, Helen Paul is known for hit movies such as: The Return of Jenifa, A Wish, The Place: Chronicle of the Book, Alakada2 among others.
There’s no stopping the multi talented act, delving into the music world, Paul released her debut album Welcome Party in 2012, and in 2018, combining with acting and presenting, she went further to release her single titled “Never Knew.”
You can add entrepreneur to her growing lists of titles: in 2012, the celebrity opened a bridal and fabric boutique in Lagos called Massive Fabrics and Bridals. She has since opened other outlets in different parts of Lagos.
Not done, in 2014, she opened a film and theater academy, the Helen Paul Theater and Film Academy.

Paul is happily married to Femi Bamisile. The couple has two sons.
