If there’s one life lesson to learn from Michael Jordan, it’s never giving up on your goals!

When it comes to go-to inspiration for rising from failure, Michael Jordan aka the greatest basketball player of all time with unparalleled accomplishments to show, swiftly comes to mind. The NBA icon with 15 seasons and six NBA championships under his belt with the Chicago Bulls, didn’t get the title on a platter.

Not one to give up; Time and again on the world stage, all thanks to the
6-foot-6 superstar’s genius mastery of the sport, blazing ambition and yes, unbeatable positive mindset and spirit we saw him fall but rise to untold heights, dominating the game.

Right from an early age, Jordan knew want he wanted to be -the Greatest! Although he started with baseball like his father, he decided to follow suit with his elder brother Larry. But things didn’t quite pan out at first; he did not make it to his high school’s varsity team, yet again in his sophomore year at Emsley A. Laney High School, Michael tried out for an open position in the basketball varsity team and got turned down because of his height -At five feet eleven inches. Although rejected from the basketball team, this stirred him to make it through not just the next try-out but become the greatest in the game!

So with hard work and dedication, he swung into practice with hopes of making the junior varsity division team, being noticed, and being made to advance. The next tryouts came and it paid off, he was chosen and did excellently well, scoring an average of twenty points scored every game, his coaches were super impressed and moved him up to the higher team. This was his turning point. Advancing to college on scholarship, Jordan breezed through college on a basketball, needless to say, his light shone brighter, establishing him as one of the country’s acclaimed college basketball stars.

During his professional career in the late 1980s, Jordan established himself as one of basketball’s biggest stars, undeniably a force in Chicago Bulls. Although his career witnessed ups and downs, with unwavering hard work, positivity, and commitment towards success, understanding no matter how many times he falls, failure comes with the package, the legendary Michael Jordan stands tall. In 2003 he finally bade goodbye to the basketball world and delved into other entrepreneurship ventures including being principal owner of the Charlotte Hornets of the NBA. His wealth has since soared to a staggering 1.7 billion USD in
2022 from $94million earnings during his career all thanks to his eye-watering deals with several top-notch brands, most especially Nike.
