Ugochi Nwizu, hailing from Ozubulu in Anambra State, has emerged as the best-graduating student from the Dentistry program at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. The young dentist achieved this prestigious honor by securing eight distinctions across crucial courses in her field.

Ugochi Nwizu accomplished this remarkable feat at the College of Medicine, University of Nigeria (UNN), earning her Bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery (BDS). She secured eight distinctions in major courses within her field.

Expressing her gratitude and joy on her achievement, Dr. Nwizu took to her Twitter account, stating, “Now Dr. Nwizu Ugochi.E. (BDS, Nig) Graduating Medical school with a total of 8 Distinctions, as the best Graduating Student God did! He has been so faithful.”

Ugochi’s academic brilliance shone across diverse subjects, encompassing Oral Biology, Anatomy, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Pathology, Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and Child Dental Health. These distinctions elevated her to the pinnacle of her faculty, earning her the title of the best-graduating student.

This accomplishment places Miss Ugochi Nwizu in the spotlight, showcasing her exceptional intellect. It also adds her name to the esteemed list of young Anambrarians who have achieved academic excellence, bringing pride to their state with outstanding results.

This success story reflects a broader trend of exceptional academic performances by Anambra’s youth on both national and international platforms. Earlier in June 2023, a female graduate from the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State, brought glory to her institution and hometown, excelling in her studies in a foreign land—China. Similarly, Okoro Benjamin Nzutechukwu and Okeke Solomon Ekene, two students from Anambra, showcased their prowess by graduating with first-class honors from their respective schools in Russia, further reinforcing the academic prowess of Anambrarians on the global stage.
