Connecting, Empowering And Showcasing The African Woman ?? Train a woman, train the nation. It’s no exaggeration to say women are the pillars of every society. When a woman is educated a chain reaction occurs; she makes informed choices which help in the quest to seek liberation, become empowered and ultimately better the nation.
Driven by the desire to connect, empower, inspire, showcase and celebrate untold achievements of fearless, driven African women trailblazers excelling in various fields, beloved author and leading radio personality Tola Onigbanjo aka WiseTola alongside her husband Sam founded @Women4Africa – which has been identified as the largest celebration of African women in the commonwealth by the Commonwealth Secretariat.
In order to help fulfill the mission of the organization, an Annual Award glamorous night starting from 2012 is held following nominations from all around the globe. Dubbed the largest and most successful African Awards ceremony across Europe, #Women4Africa through its nomination and judging process identifies and celebrates ordinary African women and the women supporting all things Africa who are doing extraordinary things both in the UK and Africa.
Held in the heart of London, the prestigious award ceremony attracts between 700 -1,000 guests.
Honouring outstanding personalities and contributions in different categories, including: Women in Technology, Women in Law, Mother of the Year, Career Woman, Woman in Healthcare, Humanitarian of the year, Business Woman of the year, etc.
