An expert in sustainability and a social entrepreneur, Bekeme Masade-Olowola is the chief executive of the CSR-in-Action group and a member of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the leading global organization of sustainability impact for measurement and reporting.
Born and raised in Lagos, Bekeme Masade-Olowola. In 2004, she received a BA (Hons) in English from the University of Lagos. She was picked as one of the 18 young professionals chosen from Africa and the Diaspora to compete in The Apprentice Africa in January 2008.
The Nigerian Institute of Mining and Geosciences awarded Bekeme Olowola the Women’s Role Model in Mining and Geosciences Award in 2021.
She produced a documentary that focuses on the condition of women living in areas affected by extractive operations, such as oil and gas exploration, which premiered in April 2022.
