Asiwaju Dr. Michael Olawale-Cole, CON, FNIM, CNIM, MFR, is the 24th President of the Premier Chamber of Commerce in Nigeria, the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), an illustrious Alumni Past President, Distinguished Alumnus of University of Lagos.

A Rotarian and humanitarian at heart, Asiwaju Olawale-Cole is a two-time Commissioner in Lagos State and Former District Governor of Rotary for District 9110.

He founded and currently serves as group CEO of the Colenson Group Nigeria, a conglomerate with interests in, among other things, insurance, consulting, real estate, and oil and gas. He is a quintessential and accomplished businessman.

Born in 1949, he grew up in Lagos as an Awori with a middle-class background. His mother was from a prominent Isolo family and was also Awori. It’s interesting to note that Oba Olawale-Cole, his brother, is currently the oba of the Ojota Kingdom.

Asiwaju (Dr.) Michael Olawale-Cole began his schooling at Maryland Demonstration School and completed his secondary education at Bola Memorial School in Agege, which included the esteemed King’s College, before moving on to the University of Lagos to pursue his studies in accounting.

He is an Alumnus of the prestigious University of Lagos; University of Cambridge; South West London College; All Saints University of America and Harvard Business School, USA. He is also a Past President of the Nigerian British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC); Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM); University of Lagos Alumni Association and Former District Governor of Rotary for District 9110.
