Spirited internationally recognised Safeguarding Consultant, Trainer, Author & Speaker Ann Marie Christian is passionate about spreading awareness about child abuse, advocating for child protection and violence against women.
The pro consultant has specialised in safeguarding from 1992, lending her voice to the quest to create a happy and safe childhood for the today’s child. By 1999 the professional delved further into education and childcare as a school-based social worker, later going on to manage social workers in schools for a Local Authority. In 2010, she became an independent social worker providing associate consultancy and training to various organisations including: NSPCC, Local Authorities, ISI Consultancy, Early Years Teams, Youth Justice Teams, Boarding School Association, The Key for Leaders, Optimus Education, Council of International Schools, AEGIS, IAPS, Insurance companies, Premier League, Multi Academy Trusts and more.

Ann with over more than 20 years extensive experience has been dominant, working on the front lines for various local authorities in management, Local Safeguarding Children Board Trainer, LADO, Safeguarding advisor to schools, Designated Safeguarding Lead trainer, Designated Safeguarding Lead coordinator amongst others.

Ann has successfully supported 75 local schools with child protection advice, training and consultancy.
The top consultant in efforts in raising awareness of child abuse/promoting child protection internationally also writes articles and contributes regularly to Head Teachers
Update, SEN Magazine and Nursery World. She also frequently delivers workshops and keynotes at National & International conferences; over the last few years has spread her tentacles across countries including Dubai, Singapore, Jamaica, Japan and Armenia.

Ann’s amazing work hasn’t gone unnoticed, she was ’Highly Commended’ and received an award at the Win Trade Awards 2019 for ‘Woman in the Public Sector’ and nominated in 2018 & 2019 in the NSPCC Child Protection Trainer of the Year. ?
