Kanyisa Mkhize is the Chief Executive Officer of Sanlam Corporate. She leads a team who are passionate to pursue value-enhance opportunities for clients, shareholders, and stakeholders in navigating the long-term insurance sector. She was appointed as CEO of Sanlam Corporate on 01 September 2020.
With 13 years of experience in life insurance, management, business planning, communication, etc. makes her outstanding at delivering strategic plans for effective customer value proposition. She is particularly passionate about the use of digital transformation to improve customer experience.
Before she joined Sanlam corporate, she worked at Old Mutual where she successfully filled various roles across product development, strategy, business development, customer solutions, and direct distribution. She also worked for Gen Re Life/Health as an assistant actuary.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Columbia Business School and an Honours Degree in Business Science from the University of Cape Town.
Kanyisa also received her actuarial qualification from the Actuarial Society of South Africa.
She proudly ranks among the Top 50 female CEO in Africa.
