Women in Sports: Karel Elodie Ziketh

Ivorian hurdler Karel Elodie Ziketh competes internationally.

She holds a dual citizenship of Ivory Coast and France

She relocated to the US where she attended Benedict College where she studied business management.

She competed in the 2016 African Championships, where she placed sixth, the 2017 Jeux de la Francophonie, where she did not finish the race, the 2017 Summer Universiade, where she placed sixth, and the 2018 World Indoor Championships, where she raced but did not advance to the final.

She also took home a gold medal in the 4 x 100-meter relay at the 2017 Jeux de la Francophonie.

Her personal best times in the 100 meters are 11.86 in June 2013 in Créteil and 13.68 in the 200 meters at the 2016 African Championships in Durban.
