The pioneering Mobihealth International is reputed as Africa’s first fully integrated telehealth startup.
With eyes set on Universal Health Coverage, and beefing Africa’s healthcare landscape, armed with a wealth of experience spanning almost two decades in clinical Medicine within the NHS UK, and a stint in the Pharmaceutical Industry as a Drug Safety Physician, the Cambridge trained Bioscience Entrepreneur and Physician with a background in Clinical Medicine, Pharmaceutical and Business Development across healthcare and energy sectors, through dedicated service and immeasurable impact has established herself as a force.
Funmi’s work has been supported by the World Bank, Africa Development Bank, AfDB, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Uk Government and has been featured on BBC, CNBC/Forbes, Telegraph, Financial-Times London, Channels TV, etc.
Also an international speaker and panelist, who serves on various boards and has been recognized as one of the Most Influential People of African Descent, MIPAD has been featured at the United Nations CSTD panel and the Africa Development Institute as well as earned several awards including most recently the World Bank SDGs Global Award 2020 and the Sanofi AfricaTech Challenge, Africa Vs Virus Challenge by AfDU/EU, Her Majesty’s UK Government’s The Female Tech Founders Award 2020

She holds a Master of Philosophy (MPhil), Bioscience Enterprise, Biotechnology (2009-2011), and a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Medicine (1997-2005).
