Oyindamola Honey Ogundeyi is Founder and CEO Edukoya, a learning mobile app she founded in May 2021 and later launched in December 2021. Ogundeyi is passionate about using technology to uplift Africa. Inspired by no readiness of teachers to give total attention to students, she has built companies to proffer innovative solutions.
In April 2014, she created Fashpa, Nigeria’s first fashion commerce platform. she built the first version herself and started the site from the bedroom of her flat in Lagos. After that, in July 2018, Ogundeyi Joined Kuda, Nigeria’s first and largest digital bank today. She was part of the founding team at Kuda. As the Chief Marketing Officer at Kuda, her work was instrumental in helping the company reach millions of customers in under two years.
Ogundeyi grew up in Lagos, Nigeria before relocating to Dublin, Ireland where she had her college education before proceeding to the University of Birmingham to pursue a degree in Public Policy and Management.
An internet and brand management expert with over 10 years of leadership experience in various industries varying from management consulting, banking, e-business, and telecoms, she previously worked with Mckinsey & Company, a consulting firm for many of the world’s most influential businesses and institutions from 2009 to 2010, as Senior Analyst.
Ogundeyi in December 2022 decided to launch Edukoya, because of her experience in the education sector in Nigeria. She believes that personal learning with the app would have a great impact on learning to students and the next generation of Students.
While this is very commendable, her dream is to see more female founders at the forefront of the technology sector in Africa.
