It’s official! Mara Brock Akil’s The Game is set to hit screens once again. News has it a revival of the BET’s The Game is currently being developed under the ViacomCBS digital subscription streaming service Paramount+.
The reboot announced September 15, made the cut alongside other original and rebooted shows headed for the streaming unit including a new edition of VH1’s Behind the Music, The Real Criminal Minds, Vibe reports.
This comes on the heels on a recent failed revival with The CW.
Paramount+ will feature content from ViacomCBS’ vast array of programming including BET, CBS, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon and Paramount Pictures. The Game will represent BET’s programming, the site reports.
Details remain sketchy at the moment, however, lens are set in 2021. There is no word yet if stars of the show Tia Mowry, Pooch Hall, or Wendy Robinson will return.
