Christine Chama is a social worker, development expert, and champion for people with disabilities.
Christine Chama was sworn in as the Republic of Zambia’s Human Rights Commissioner on June 27, 2022.
She graduated from the University of Zambia with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Development Studies with Sociology.
Christine served as both the student representative for learners with disabilities and the previous president of the University of Zambia Development Studies Association (UNZADESA).
“I’m passionate about seeing positive change more especially in the lives of persons with special needs. Therefore I believe for me to see that change I should first be the change,” said Christine Chama.
She was sworn in as Zambia’s Human Rights Commissioner on June 27, 2022, by President Hakainde Hichilema.
