The outcome of that election was a clear expression of the will of the people, as Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola emerged as the presumed winner, poised to lead our nation into a new era of progress and prosperity.
However, the hopes and dreams ignited by that election were momentarily dashed, as the results were annulled. Yet, the flame of democracy never flickered. The Nigerian people stood resolute, demanding the recognition of their collective voice.
