When it comes to skating, 25 year old Adrienne Cooper @yeahadrienne founder of @moonlightroller brand needs no introduction.
Although pretty new in the skating market, the black brand – Moonlight x Mobile which started in 2019 after Adrienne left her job as a sales manager basically disrupted skating culture, boasting of over $3 million in sales as at 2020 and is currently being purchased in no less than 49 states across the world.
Moonlight includes an 18+ roller lounge in Chattanooga, Tennessee and a mobile skate business that provides skates and flooring for parties.
Recently, in May last year, the entrepreneur expanded her empire to include her own line of roller skates called The Moon Boot.
“The skates like sold out overnight and I was like OMG we have to have employees to sell these skates,” she said in an interview with WRCB-TV. “Inspiring to Black women, inspiring to veterans, inspiring to women in general. They can do something that people think is a niche and maybe one day it’ll blow up.”
