American rapper Travis Scott is PlayStation’s newest member.
Announcing the news Friday October 23, the company stated the 29 year old will serve as their new strategic creative partner in the partnership
The Houston native, Kylie Jenner’s baby daddy took to Instagram to share the news; “Meet the gang. ReBuilt a office at the topfloor in Japan. To chef up Starring @dozie.kanu chair.” It also features a few of the key people who worked on different aspects of creating the new PlayStation 5 console.
“I’m really looking forward to being able to showcase everything that Cactus Jack has worked on with Sony and the PlayStation team,” said the “Sicko Mode” rapper in a statement. “Most importantly I’m excited to see how the PlayStation fans and family respond, and I look forward to running some games with everybody very soon!”
PlayStation also released their own expressing their excitement for the upcoming partnership:
“Today, we’re excited to announce Travis Scott has joined the PlayStation family as a strategic creative partner,” said Eric Lempel, senior vice president of PlayStation Worldwide Marketing, in a letter on the company’s website. “We heard Travis is a huge PlayStation fan, so we started a conversation with him that led to this unique partnership. Through our mutual passion for gaming and creativity, we plan on collaborating with Travis and his Cactus Jack brand to produce innovative projects that we hope will delight our collective fans.”

The rapper also revealed he had rebuilt PlayStation’s Japan office. PlayStation 5 is set for release on November 12
This partnership follows the rapper’s most recent collab with McDonald’s through his own signature meal, afrotech reports.
