The vibrant city of Ibadan recently played host to the Ibadan Festival Week 2024, a colorful celebration of its rich culture, traditions, and people. Organized by the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), the week-long festival offered an unforgettable experience, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.
Held at the prestigious Asiwaju Bode Amao Hall, the festival showcased the best of Ibadan’s talent, culture, music, and pageantry. Highlights of the event included:

One of the festival’s standout events was the combined “Ibadan Got Talent” and “Orekelewa Beauty and Brain Pageant,” which featured exciting performances and competitions. The talent show highlighted the incredible abilities of Ibadan’s youth, with winners including Abdullateef Uthman, Agunbiade Gideon Group, and Okewunmi Obalowa’s Group. The beauty and brain pageant crowned Miss Ogunrinde Temidun as the 2024 Orekelewa winner, celebrating her intellect and grace.
Chief Sulaimon Ajeniyi Ajewole, President General of the CCII, expressed his delight at the event’s success. “The Ibadan Festival Week is a testament to our city’s vibrant cultural heritage and the talent of our people,” he said.
Balogun Gaphar Babatunde Ojetola, Chairman of the Planning Committee, emphasized the festival’s goal of promoting good morals and empowering young talents in Ibadan. Despite the earlier postponement due to the demise of the 42nd Olubadan, the event continued with renewed enthusiasm, promising more activities following the coronation of the 43rd Olubadan.
