Engineer Rosemary Oduor is a Kenyan electrical engineer and corporate executive, who works as the acting Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Kenya Power and Lighting Company since August 2021

Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has had a poor reputation over the years from complaints of rude staff, corruption, outraged power system, etc. To bring sanity to KPLC, President Uhuru Kenyatta appointed Engineer Rosemary Oduor to become the Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company.

Engineer Rosemary joined the Kenya Power and Lighting Company in 1991. She worked as the regional manager for the Western region and held other administrative positions at the company.

Born in 1967 and brought up in Kenya. She has a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering from Moi University, then a Master’s degree in Business Administration at the University of Nairobi. She is a Professional Engineer and registered with the Engineers Board of Kenya.

She is among the 68 best Women CEOs in Africa released by Africa.com
