Rihanna-inspired model Adetutu is challenging tribal marking stereotypes

Nigerian face model Adetutu Alabi, caught everyone’s attention many thanks to her remake of Rihanna’s photoshoot which earned her a follow back from the megastar.

Creator of the #tribalmarkschallenge, campaign, Adetutu utilises social media to call for a reorientation in terms of tribal markings in Africa. She preaches for children to be of age when their permission be sort before tribal mark is given, calling for a ban on tribal marks.

According to her, tribal marks shouldn’t define one. Although the markings made her encounter several humiliation, she has embraced the marks as her trademark.
