Funke Akindele Ayotunde is a prominent Nollywood actress, producer, model, television personality, businesswoman, and philanthropist.
Akindele shot to fame after appearing in the well-liked sitcom I Need to Know, which was sponsored by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and aired from 1998 to 2002.
In 2019, Akindele debuted Aiyetoro Town, a spinoff of her well-liked television program Jenifa’s Diary. She runs Scene One production as CEO. She is presently vying for the position of deputy governor of Lagos in the impending 2023 elections as the PDP candidate.
Akindele is the founder of the Jenifa Foundation, a non-profit with the mission of educating young people in practical skills.
Akindele launched Aiyetoro Town in 2019, a spinoff of her well-liked TV show Jenifa’s Diary. She is the CEO of Scene One production. She is currently running as the Peoples Democratic Party of Nigeria’s nominee for deputy governor of Lagos in the upcoming 2023 elections.
