@michelleobama Has Got You Covered Isolation and lockdowns due to the deadly #coronavirus outbreak have led many moms to double as tutors to their kids while working from home, which can be understandably draining.

Thankfully Former First Lady Michelle Obama is teaming up with Penguin Young Readers, Random House Children’s Books and PBS Kids to read children’s books ( some of her favourite books) to kids in an initiative called, “Read Together, Be Together.” Starting on Monday at 12 noon Eastern, “Mondays with Michelle Obama” will kick off, featuring Mrs. Obama reading one book for four weeks until Monday, May 11. Books include The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson; There’s a Dragon in Your Book by Tom Fletcher; Miss Maple’s Seeds by Eliza Wheeler; and The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle, @essence reports.

In a statement, Obama revealed her love for story telling started right from childhood, adding “At this time when so many families are under so much stress, I’m excited to give kids a chance to practice their reading and hear some wonderful stories (and to give parents and caretakers a much-needed break).” Michelle Obama announcing the news on Instagram wrote; ” I’m thrilled to share she of my favourite children’s books and give kids an opportunity to practice their reading (while giving families a much-needed break!) Join me, @psbkids, and @penguinrandomhouse for read-alongs on Mondays at 12pm ET on @psbkids Facebook and YouTube!

PSB announcing on social media wrote: Join us for “Mondays with Michelle Obama!” as part of the PSB KIDS Read-Along series, @michelleobama will read four of her favourite children books ( one book every Monday through 5/11!)
