The highly anticipated series, “Harry and Meghan” has already broken streaming platform Netflix record barely a week after its premiere.
Volume I of the limited docuseries which chronicles the love story, and low-key life of Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan debuted with 8.55 million hours viewed, the highest view hours of any documentary title in a premiere week, per the streaming service.
Helmed by Oscar-nominated director Liz Garbus, the docuseries is also now the number two English television series being streamed globally (behind Wednesday) and appeared in the Top 10 TV list in 85 countries.
Just four days into the series being available on Netflix, more than 28 million households had seen the first three episodes.
In the Volume I, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex also gave a glimpse into what drove them to step down from their senior royal roles.
Volume II promises a lot more drama, particularly regarding the couple’s alleged estrangement from Harry’s royal family, and potentially a view into what their relationship with them looks like now.
Volume II premieres at 3 a.m. on December 15.
