On the 6th of April 2016 Senator Biodun Olujimi called on women to liaise with one another and discuss ways to propose the gender and equality bill for June 2016 in order to achieve one vision, towards uplifting a common woman.
Speaking at the symposium held at the Nigeria High Commission London, she explained that the bill was not put to effect yet by the senate due to Religion, Girl-child marriage and heritage, however she encouraged women to make practical contributions to see to the legislation being effected.
“It is important our voice are heard and we support one another in order to achieve this legislation”
Supporting this Movement, at the event had in attendance, Acting High commissioner Mr Adah Simon Ogah, Head of consular, Education and welfare section Mrs OluFolake Abdulrazaaq, MD CEO Standard Chartered Bank Mrs Bola Adesola Former Minister Of women Affairs Mrs Joesphine Anenih and Head of political and commonwealth Mr AA Kadiri and Nigeria in diaspora organisation.
