Aisha Bowe’s journey to becoming the first Black woman to fly to space with Blue Origin is a story of vision, resilience, and consistency. She went on to found STEMBoard, an award winning tech company that creates innovative solutions for government and commercial clients, and later launched LINGO, a self paced coding kit designed to teach students the fundamentals of computer programming. Through these initiatives, she has dedicated herself to empowering the next generation of innovators, particularly women and minorities, to thrive in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Her upcoming flight with Blue Origin represents more than a personal achievement, it is a historic moment for representation and inspiration. The mission sends a powerful message that the aerospace industry is evolving and that the barriers which have historically excluded women of color from space exploration can be dismantled.
