Nigeria’s First Lady and Lagos Governor Kick Off 23rd National Women’s Conference 2023

Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, and Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwoolu, inaugurated the 23rd National Women’s Conference 2023 at the Eko Hotel and Suites, emphasizing the theme “Unleash Your Potentials.” The event, organized by the Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials (COWLSO), aims to empower and uplift women in Lagos State over a three-day period.

Senator Oluremi Tinubu stressed the impact women can make locally and globally when given the opportunity. She urged unity and mutual support among participants to showcase Nigerian women’s abilities for the benefit of their families, communities, and the nation at large.

Governor Sanwoolu highlighted the significance of women’s involvement in governance, particularly during Nigeria’s challenging times. He commended COWLSO’s initiatives in various sectors and encouraged participants to leverage their skills for positive change, emphasizing the collective potential to shape a more inclusive and successful society.

Dignitaries, including Speaker of the House of Representatives Senator Godswill Akpabio and governors from Oyo, Ogun, and Osun states, also shared insights at the event. Joke Sanwoolu, the Chairman of COWLSO Group and Lagos State Governor’s Wife, expressed gratitude to supporters, emphasizing the organization’s impactful efforts across education, agriculture, and community welfare.
