Quinta Bunson Wins Spirit Award for Best Performance in New Scripted Series, “Abbott Elementary”

Quinta Brunson, a rising star in the entertainment industry, has been awarded the Spirit Award for Best Performance in a New Scripted Series for her role in Abbott Elementary.

The 31-year-old actress, comedian, and writer has been making waves in Hollywood since her breakout role on the web series “The Girl Who’s Never Been on a Nice Date” in 2014. Brunson has since starred in several television shows and movies, including “A Black Lady Sketch Show,” “iZombie,” and “Lazor Wulf.”

Her latest project, Abbott Elementary, premiered in December 2021 and has received critical acclaim for its humorous and realistic portrayal of life in a public school. The series follows a group of dedicated educators as they navigate the challenges and triumphs of teaching in a low-income community.

In Abbott Elementary, Brunson plays Ms. Caroline Watson, a young and passionate teacher who is eager to make a difference in her students’ lives.
