The ultimate measure of a man is not in his sole acquisition of material possessions, but rather, the power of stories left behind:

It’s not the length of days, but the richness of life.

It’s not the attainment of perfection, but the wholesome acquisition of true happiness and fulfillment.

In between the quest for survival, let’s endeavour to put some definitive depth – purpose, in the mix for life although all shades of beautiful, is in the end, finite – too short for regrets. Would your footprints be easily wiped away with the wind or would your lasting legacy leave imprints in souls for decades to come?

Ibidun Ajayi Ighodalo, Former Lux Beauty Queen turned Event Consultant extraordinaire cum leading Humanitarian, although a great loss too painful to bear, leaves behind indelible footprints, a rich legacy of courage, selfless service, kindness and strength of character.

A rare combination of a stunning beauty and an even more beautiful soul with an infectious smile and an ever ready welcoming embrace, Ibidun didn’t have it all, she had her own share of problems and sure knew the true meaning of pain: 11 heart wrenching IVF treatments managing to conceive once – but lost the baby – a preview of her facet of pain in the public eye.

Despite it all, she submerged her pain and dreamt of helping others women in their quest to become mothers by deploying her personal resources to pay for their In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) treatment through her Ibidun Ighodalo Foundation (IIF) formally launched in 2016 with glowing testimonies since its inception date.

Ibidun was no average stunner, she had brains and put it to good use, an entrepreneurial giant, through her event outfit Elizabeth R founded in 2003 which had the a rich clientele, the 39 year old established herself as one of the biggest names in event management in Nigeria today.

She tied the knot with Pastor Ighodalo in 2007, then a Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Christ Church Parish, Gbagada, he later went on to start his church called Trinity House.

40th birthday approaching, unlike most, Ighodalo didn’t think of self, all she wanted was to “help 40 couples have their babies, make 40 homes happy”, but that was not to be, five days before the big 40, fate dealt a truly brutal blow, on Sunday, June 14, 2019, Ibidun Ajayi-Ighodalo passed away in her hotel room in Port Harcourt, Nigeria (where she was on a mission to ease the effect of covid-19) from a reported cardiac arrest.

Ibidun is survived by her husband, Pastor Ituah Ighodalo, Senior Pastor at Trinity House Church; her adopted kids daughter Keke and Zenan, her son.
