It’s Thursday March 25 and yes it’s a special day in women’s calendar. Today we celebrate a pacesetter in Nigeria’s publishing world and beyond, revered media personality, publisher, host, speaker, author, entrepreneur and a philanthropist, Betty Irabor!

She is the Editor-in-Chief and founder of Genevieve magazine which is recognised as a forerunner in Nigeria’s lifestyle/fashion/entertainment publishing sector which broke boundaries and redefined status quo, setting pace for other well known brands we have today.

Irabor before launching her women inspired leading lifestyle magazine in 2003, currently circulating across Africa, America and Europe,  previously had a column in Black & Beauty magazine in the United Kingdom.

Irabor studied English in university and then ventured into publishing. She worked as a journalist at Concord Newspapers, took freelance writing jobs at the Vanguard, The Guardian, This Day as well as Black & Beauty magazine and others abroad.

A globally sought after keynote speaker, mental health and wellbeing consultant, she is also known for her Pinkball foundation that promotes breast cancer awareness, early detection and treatment.

In 2018 her memoir Dust to Dew was published, where she chronicles her struggles with depression.

Betty Irabor most recently is gearing up for the launch of her Well-being and lifestyle series, Intentional Living.

She’s married to Soni Irabor and they have two children.

Coming up with new initiatives by the minute and gracing our timeline with her ageless look, Happy Birthday to the ever Inspiring Betty Irabor!
