“New year, new me.” This statement won’t change your life. Your life isn’t going to miraculously change just because you made a New Year’s resolution, and I’m pretty sure you knew that already because this isn’t the first time you made a New Year’s resolution.
Sure, you began the year full of energy, attacking your goals from all dimensions, but ask yourself, “Didn’t I do this last year and the year before?”
Yes, you did, and that’s why you should consider taking the statement “New year, New me” seriously, because you can actually make it your reality.
How?
The answer is pretty simple: you have to become a “New You”. By becoming a new you, I mean, let’s go off the old habits that kept you from achieving all that you truly desire. Habits like procrastination, making excuses, trying to be perfect, and other negative habits. And embrace positive habits that’ll take you steps closer to your goals, like consistent effort, resilience, focus, goal setting, discipline, and other positive habits.
Moreso, replacing old habits with new habits may not be as easy as it sounds because it requires consistent effort, and sometimes you might find yourself falling back into old habits.
However, these habits will enable you to truly become a “New You”, and will also get you steps closer to getting the life you want.
In conclusion, take your New You resolution seriously enough. Have a wonderful year!
