Today Saturday September 19, we celebrate Africa’s arguably most successful blogger and entrepreneur, undoubtedly Nigeria’s most successful, blogger, writer and entrepreneur Linda Ikeji.
Born on this day in 1980, the driven media personality who hails from Imo State, Nigeria first had her eyes set on modeling but had always had a passion for blogging- Ikeji would officially start blogging in 2006.
A graduate of English from the University of Lagos in 2004, Linda took on part-time jobs as a waitress, model and writer to support her family while still studying.
In 2007 she took up blogging professionally with the blogger sub-domain lindaikeji.blogspot.com and later obtained her domain www.lindaikejisblog.com
Passion and patience paved way for her, she stood strong and her brand grew fiercly over the years, she established herself as an authoritative voice in media.
On 22 August 2016, on her blog, she announced the creation her online TV network, Linda Ikeji TV alongside other brands she was establishing. Linda Ikeji TV airs a variety of programmes ranging from talk shows, reality shows, TV series to Movies. The Network both produces some of its programmes and also buys TV contents. She also ventured into online radio broadcasting. The station is operated from the Linda Ikeji Media Office.
Ikeji has since spread her tentacles across various spheres: music, socials among others.

In August 2012, Ikeji was profiled amongst Africa’s 20 Most Prominent Women on Forbes, in 2018, was among eminent personalities drawn from different countries across multiple disciplines who were conferred with Honorary Doctorate Degree from Trinity International University in Georgia for her outstanding job in Business and Media in Africa.
