Olufunke ‘Jenifa’ Akindele-Bello is a Nigerian actress and content creator. Starting her acting career in 1998 in the sitcom “I Need To Know”, Jenifa, as she is popularly called, has starred in numerous Nollywood movies (English and Yoruba). Funke Akindele’s was fittingly shot to fame with her starring in “Jenifa” movie in 2008. However, her poise to stardom was corroborated with the lead acting role in the well-acclaimed comedy series “Jenifa’s Diary” from the staple of her Scene One Film Production. Jenifa’s Diary is a household comedy series in Nigeria, and which has gone to earn Funke Akindele the 2016 Africa Magic Viewer Choice Awards in the category of the Best Actress in a Comedy.
Jenifa is a recipient of several awards that have been added to her badge of honor for the recognition of her artistic disposition on stage. She has endorsement deals with big brands like Dettol, Irokotv, Keystone bank, and WAW Nigeria.
As a humanitarian, the mother of twins runs a non-governmental “Jenifa Foundation”, which aims at providing young people with vocational skills.
