“I’m running for County Judge to bring my extensive legal experience and dedication back to my community from the bench.”
- Kaysia Earley
Born in humble roots, the daughter of a Jamaican father and an American mother, the middle child of seven siblings but singlehandedly raised by her mother after her father abandoned them when she was eight, Kaysia M. Earley, 39, battled countless obstacles including incarnation for felony embezzlement before applaudably rewriting her story as a first-generation graduate and revered criminal defense attorney.
She is Founder, and owner, Earley Law Firm, PLLC, where she passionately lends her expertise primarily in the areas of criminal, personal injury, and civil rights.
Many thanks to hard work and a positive mindset, she was determined to build up her life from her Miami roots and bad past. Way back during Kaysia’s senior year in college, she was arrested and charged with felony embezzlement as a result of discounting merchandise while working at a shoe store, but although she nursed fear of her dream of graduating and becoming a politician and an attorney coming an end, while pregnant and in solitary confinement, her story didn’t end there, she managed to keep her head up and rise from adversity. A determined Kaysia gave her life to Christ and made a choice to turn her story around and never put her family in a bad light. Thirteen years later, she returned to the same courtroom where she had stood as a defendant, now as an attorney, thanking the sentencing Judge for his stern admonition and informing him of her accomplishments. Today, as an attorney, borrowing from that experience which serves as a catalyst to drive compassion on clients, in less than five years, she successfully tried over 100 jury and non-jury trials to verdict and secured over 250 dismissals. The Jamaican-American resident of Broward County is presently running for the 17th Judicial Circuit, County Judge, Group 26
“Life has a way of transitioning through obstacles and adversity, it’s our duty to keep the faith and constantly move forward, the sun will eventually shine.”
“My tenacity despite my criminal past will hopefully inspire those who have sidetracked through bad choices and associations, who don’t necessarily believe they can achieve their goals.” She adds.
