Trey Brown at just 15 has found his part in the business world and has racked up impressive accomplishments at such a young age. He is founder and CEO of clothing brand Spergo and successfully recently pitched his business idea on Shark Tank inking a $300,000 deal with
businessman and investor Daymond John.
The investment, an exchange for 20% equity of his company, will be dedicated to hiring a fashion designer, upgrading the brand’s e-commerce technology, as well as putting towards more production, according to Sherell Peterson, Trey’s mother and COO of the company.
The brand SPERGO is into sweatsuits, hoodies, boxer briefs, and accessories for both genders.
Trey revealed he was inspired by Daymond John whose books he used to read to launch his entrepreneurship dreams.
The mother-son duo started their entrepreneurial journey at a young age and with the help of his mum, Trey at age 12 launched Spergo.
Prior to this recent deal, last year Trey had received a $25,000 grant from Diddy used to fund the opening of Spergo’s first three stores.
His company is projected to acquire $2.2 million in 2021 sales.
