Magnetic, Vibrant and a Timeless Performer! Today September 13 we celebrate an exceptional talent in Nigeria’s entertainment scene, theater pratictioner with extensive experience whose ever constant brilliant performance on screen, often in antagonistic roles have earned her more than a fair verbal attacks in real life, veteran Nigerian actress and Patience Ozokwor.
Known for films Covert Operation, Overseas and Idemili amongst others, the actress, born on March 25, 1958, in Ngwo, Enugu State before delving into the movies and mega fame attended Institute of Management and Technology Enugu where she obtained a degree in Fine and Applied Arts.
Upon graduation, she made her foray in teaching before delving into broadcasting where she worked with a radio station as a radio announcer and newscaster.
Her first dabble into movies was a soap opera titled Someone Cares. In 1998, Patience Ozokwor landed her first movie role, just a year later she featured in the highly successful movie, Authority and that was it, Nigeria gained a star.
The screen magnet has since gone on to feature I’m other movies. More recently however Mama Gee has channeled her passion into religion.
