Grammy Award-winning rapper, record producer and actress Queen Latifah has no doubt acquired enviable success in the entertainment world, the 51 year old who proudly set the pace in the music world, earning title – hip-hop’s first lady and becoming the first hip-hop artiste to be crowned with a star on the ‘Hollywood Walk of Fame’ in 2006 isn’t done establishing her footprints.
According to reports, the Academy Award nominated actress will be honoured with the coveted BET Lifetime Achievement Award for this year which will be aired live on Monday, June 28 on BETAfrica (DStv channel 129) at 01:00 WAT. It will also be on repeat at 18:00 WAT on the same day.
Empire star, Golden Globe winning actor, Taraji P. Henson will host the event.

Taraji P. Henson recently wrapped her beloved role as ‘Cookie Lyon’ on Fox’s hit musical drama Empire, which earned her Emmy nominations, a Golden Globe Award, a Critics Choice Award, and three BET Awards.
