We’ve got super exciting news! The highly anticipated sequel to beloved 1998 classic, Coming To America is officially coming to screens!
According to reports, Amazon just secured the worldwide rights to Paramount Pictures’ Coming 2 America. The new film will launch worldwide in more than 240 countries on Prime Video on March 5th 2021.
Amazingly, many casts members return alongside Eddie Murphy who makes his grand return as newly crowned King Akeem. Original cast including King Jaffe Joffer (James Earl Jones), Queen Lisa (Shari Headley), Cleo McDowell (John Amos), Maurice (Louie Anderson) and the barbershop crew will return.
New characters will be played by Wesley Snipes, Leslie Jones, Tracy Morgan, Jermaine Fowler, Bella Murphy, Rotimi, KiKi Layne, Nomzamo Mbatha and Teyana Taylor.
Coming to America grossed over $288 million at the box office.
