#BossLadyMoves: Actress. Producer. Entrepreneur! At just 16, against the odds, Black-Ish star @marsaimartin has established herself as an authoritative voice in Hollywood and yes, there’s no stopping her.
Hollywood Reporter exclusively reports the teen is currently developing an unscripted series focused on the stories of trailblazing Black women possibly entitled ‘Baddies’ with ITV America’s Sirens Media.
The project is currently being shopped to buyers — with Martin’s Genius Entertainment banner developing and producing, the site reports.
“Black women have always contributed to American culture,” said Martin. “They’ve just never gotten the recognition. This show is a fun way of letting people know how dope we are.”
Baddies will be the first series from Martin, Hollywood’s youngest producer.
“Our team continues to be blown away by Marsai on multiple levels,” said Sirens president Jessica Sebastian-Dayeh. “She’s a creative force of nature and an important voice in our culture, and aside from her obvious talents on camera, is a very deft and thoughtful executive behind the scenes. We’re proud to partner with her and Genius on this series that will shed light on vital stories in imaginative and unexpected fashion.”
Baddies (working title) will be executive produced by Martin, Joshua and Carol Martin, Nicole Dow and Prince Baggett for Genius Entertainment, while Sebastian-Dayeh will executive produce for Sirens Media, Hollywood Reporter reports.
