It’s super exciting news as once again the Young and the Restless has landed two new cast members. Ptosha Storey (The Oval, Empire) and Leigh-Ann Rose (Love Thy Neighbor, Younger). The pair will join later this month.
According to viral reports, Storey and Benedict will be making their YR debuts on Thursday, December 24. Storey is playing Naya Benedict; Rose is playing Imani Benedict.
Storey teased about landing a new gig on her official Instagram account. “Great day on the set of my next project! Grateful to be working in spite of this Covid -19 season. Can’t wait to share this one! ?,” she posted. “#actorslife #setlife #staysafe #staywell #Blessed.”
Rose’s other credits include: I’m Not Him, Baking Christmas, Scorpion, Law & Order: SVU, and Famous Farrah. Storey’s other credits include Strong Medicine, Numb3rs, Choices, All Day and a Night, Tyler Perry’s Acrimony, If Loving You Is Wrong, The Soul Man, and Moesha, On Empire, Storey played the recurring role of Chyna.
Young and the Restless, created by the late William J. Bell and Lee Phillip Bell debuted on March 26, 1973. The CBS soap which won its 11th Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series recently celebrated its 12,000th episode.
