Today, we celebrate not just a form of governance, but the soul of a nation that has refused to give up. We honour those who stood up when it wasn’t safe to. Those who chose the ballot over bullets. Those who marched, spoke out, and paved the way—often at great personal cost—for the democracy we live in today.
As the green and white flag flies high, we celebrate with Nigerians across the globe. We honour the past, hold space for the present, and hope fiercely for the future.
