She’s had hits back to back and now, American rapper Cardi B is set to take on the movie world as well. Reports say the entertainer will be taking on the reigns in upcoming comedy project titled Assisted Living.
The WAP rapper is also noted for her minor appearance in Jennifer Lopez’s Hustlers. She also featured in upcoming movie Fast & Furious 9 which has been pushed back as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
Assisted Living takes on the lines of Tootsie, Sister Act and Mrs Doubtfire. Cardi B takes on the role of Amber, a small-time crook who finds herself in a mess when a heist goes wrong.
“On the run from the cops and her former crew, she struggles to find anywhere to hide. Running out of options, Amber disguises herself as an elderly woman and hides out in the one place no one will look, her estranged grandmother’s nursing home,” reads the official plotline.
The film is based on an original script by This Is Us writer Kay Oyegun. It is produced by Temple Hill and Stephen Love.
