Why Women Don’t Have A Healthy Relationship With Money

Is it really true that women don’t have a healthy relationship with money?

Not all women of course but for most of us, results prove we’ve got a lot of work to do.

Depending on where and when you were raised, you have absorbed lessons about money. Almost all women in their 20’s and 30’s are now very familiar with the idea that we can have it all if we want it badly enough. We’re are also the generation of women that’s starting to get more accustomed to the belief that we deserve to have it all. Although old paradigms still make it tough to really live from that space, many of us are consciously working to move into this new awareness.

If you are over 40however, the story is much different. You’ve learned some pretty tough lessons around money and the facts surrounding you only anchor in old false paradigms that don’t serve your desire for financial prosperity.

There are several traits that society has treated as virtue for women, which do nothing but misalign us with the laws of prosperity. So the biggest obstacles we face today as modern women seeking prosperity and success are invisible obstacles. We might think the enemy is outside but in essence, we stand at a point in time where the only thing keeping us from the financial independence and self-sufficiency we desire is our own selves.

You might still be inclined to point fingers at your stingy boss who doesn’t want to pay you the same as your male colleagues serving at the same level. You probably think your spouse; the economy or your profession is what creates the resistance to financial flow but honey, wake up and smell the coffee. We are in 2016 and there has never been a time in history where the woman had as much freedom as we do now. If we are still experiencing lack, we have to stop pointing fingers and take full ownership and responsibility for all things in our lives especially money.

I have a client who is very driven, ambitious and certainly a huge risk taker. She’s determined to create a lifestyle of freedom and success. After investing huge sums of money into a business model that she’s been told works, she’s realized something else is amiss.

The same blueprint that was promised to generate massive results doesn’t seem to work in her hands despite all her hard work.

Can you imagine the level of frustration, anxiety and despair she must have been feeling by the time she came to me?

How often have you said or heard a woman make the following statement:

I don’t care about being rich so my financial goals are just realistic even though I am an abundant thinker.

Many women especially those who are personal development students often say something to that effect. They are unknowingly still betraying their active paradigms of lack and unhealthy relations to money. The mere fact that you have to defend yourself and proclaim you have no desire to be rich is a total sell out. So I invite you to start paying close attention to the words and conversations you’re having with yourself and others around the subject of money.

I have resources that can help anyone understand and begin to apply the three important steps to having a healthy relationship with money so feel free to dig into that if it resonates with you. For now, become aware of these key paradigms because I believe these are among the key hidden beliefs sabotaging hard workingwomen today.

The reason women have such unhealthy relationship with money even after all the motivation and personal development work has been done has to do with their inability to understand, control and heal their emotions.

For most women the emotions attached to money are almost always negative.

Shame, guilt, a sense of unworthiness and not being good enough are what most women have to live with on a daily basis. What does that tell us? That money is directly entangled in that soup of darkness.

There’s another side to this revelation that makes it even more twisted. It goes beyond what women are conditioned into by their parents and environment. It has to do with the false labels society has placed on ideas like self-deprivation and submission. Certain man-made ideas that formed as a result of the distorted views past generations had are now the evil spirits behind the financial struggles many women endure.

The feminine and nurturing power that belongs to a woman has been attached to a virtue of self-deprivation, inferiority and weakness. Many women will deny themselves something they absolutely desire in the name of family. Society views that as the demonstration of a good woman and since we all want to be good, we’ve trained our minds to believe that big, bold, beautiful desires are somehow wrong. Lots of money thus automatically becomes the enemy of the woman who wants to be known for her goodness.

When was the last time you allowed yourself to buy$100 dollar jeans and actually felt good about it?

Last weekend a girlfriend came to my house at an odd time because she had just bought a very expensive dress in Monaco and while it felt so good spending a couple of thousand euro on herself at the time, once she got in the car to go home, guilt started eating her up.

We have been working together for a while now so she’s definitely on the healing path of prosperity. But without a little help from me and a reminder of who she really is and what she deserves to experience in life, she was bound to fall back into the old trap of lack that was already creepinHence for each of us, a new conscious effort must be made when it comes to restoring a rich and healthy relationship with money.

We have so much abundance and financial riches uniquely assigned to us and for generations, women would pass through this human experience and never cash out those riches. Now you are here reading this, regardless of your age, know that you deserve to be rich. There’s a lot of financial prosperity awaiting your claim but you must proactively work on freeing yourself from the deep-rooted paradigms and consciousness of poverty that infiltrates the feminine energy. If you desire to thrive and enjoy the lifestyle you’ve been working toward, make a conscious decision that you will do everything in your power to become aware of your money paradigms and then change them.
